Privacy Policy

Paycheck Mapper helps you organize income, bills, debts, due dates, and payment status around your pay schedule. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information you provide

You may enter financial planning information such as income amounts, bill and debt names, amounts, balances, interest rates, due dates, and paid status. When you contact support, you may provide an email address and message.

Account information

If you choose Google sign-in, authentication is provided by Clerk. Paycheck Mapper receives an account identifier and the basic account information needed to sign you in and keep your dashboard associated with your account. Paycheck Mapper does not receive your Google password.

How information is used

Your information is used to calculate paycheck plans, upcoming payments, and shortfall guidance; manage account and Premium access; respond to support, feedback, or deletion requests; and maintain app security and reliability. When you use the Premium Bill Timing Planner or debt payoff planner, budget information is sent to our authenticated service to calculate the requested results.

Storage and sharing

Your budget is saved on your device. Signing in does not automatically synchronize your budget between devices in this release. Use Back up & restore to keep a copy or transfer it. Authentication is handled by Clerk. Account membership records, support and feedback requests, and deletion requests use services provided by Neon and Vercel. These providers process information as needed to operate the app. Paycheck Mapper does not sell your personal or financial information.

Receipt scanning

Receipt scanning is optional. Selected or captured photos are read on your device using optical character recognition; this release does not upload receipt photos to our server or an AI provider. Reading software and language files may be downloaded from third-party content delivery services. Review the suggested merchant, date, total, and category before saving. Only the purchase details you confirm become part of your saved budget.

Backups and calendar exports

Budget backup files are generated and imported on your device. Individual bill calendar files include the bill name, amount, and due date. If you share a backup or import a calendar file into another service, that service handles the copy under its own terms. Exported copies are not automatically updated or removed when you edit or delete data in Paycheck Mapper.

Subscriptions

We store trial dates, subscription status, and billing identifiers to manage Premium access. Google Play processes Android subscription payments; Stripe processes website subscription payments. We receive purchase identifiers, plan and renewal information, and access expiry dates, but not your full payment card number. Canceling renewal keeps Premium available until the paid period ends. Billing records may be retained for accounting, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

Retention and deletion

To prevent repeated free trials, we retain a keyed identifier derived from your verified email addresses and the original trial dates after account deletion. This limited record does not contain your budget or a readable email address and is kept while we offer this trial program. Creating another account with the same verified email does not restart the trial.

Local budget data remains until you clear the app's storage or remove it. Keep a backup before doing so. Account, membership, support, and feedback records are stored on our services. You can request account deletion from Manage account or through the account deletion page. We verify the request before deleting associated account data, except records needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Exported backups and copies on other devices must be removed separately. Manage subscription renewal with Google Play or Stripe; deleting local app data does not cancel billing.

Website traffic measurement

We measure browser-tab visits, viewed sections, referral hostnames, campaign tags, and mobile or desktop screen size to improve the website. A random session identifier is stored in session storage and replaced after 30 minutes without navigation, scrolling, typing, or pointer activity. When you sign in, we may link a new signup and first saved plan to that visit using a hashed account identifier. Analytics does not store your budget amounts, receipt contents, email address, or IP address. Traffic records are retained for up to 90 days and cleaned up when owner reports load. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this tracking. You can also open the site with ?notrack=1 to disable it for that page load. Hosting providers may separately maintain operational logs.

Security

To limit automated abuse of public forms and analytics, we temporarily retain keyed hashes derived from network addresses and request counters. Raw network addresses are not stored in these rate-limit records; expired records are removed during subsequent requests.

Paycheck Mapper uses encrypted network connections and authenticated access to account and Premium services. No system can guarantee absolute security, so users should avoid entering account passwords, full account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other information the planner does not request.

Children

Paycheck Mapper is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
